How Did This Journey Begin?

This journey has been years in the making despite it looking as if it happened fast. Back in our early years of marriage we dreamed of building a house someday. We clipped pictures from magazines, planned special features for the home, and imagined ways of accomplishing it. Never did we expect to make the leap right after Kory lost his job during a massive worldwide pandemic. 

BUCKLE UP-UNKNOWN TERRITORY AHEAD!

We had looked at other property and many times decided we had to stay in town due to our Scentsy business. When the career path changed so did our location needs. That's when we really started looking into making this a reality. We walked through model homes and fell in love with a floor plan but quickly realized we wouldn't be hiring that company to build. 

THE HOUSE THAT STARTED IT ALL:

Fast forward to July 2020. We had been looking at a specific style of trailer  (for the start of this process which we thought would be a year out) I woke up one morning and it was the first post that came up on FB. A friend was selling "our"  trailer. Went there that night and bought it cash. From this point on things started moving quickly.

TRAILER DELIVERED TO TEMPORARY SPOT

Our "new to us" home is a 35 foot trailer with bunk room, 3 slides, outdoor kitchen, and just over 300 square feet. If you don't know us well, you'll have to understand that we move quickly. We knew we wanted to list our house in this hot 2020 summer market but had no clue how fast the next month would go.

One Friday night at 11:30 we were sitting on the couch talking and said, "let's move tomorrow". That's exactly what we did. 

WE PARKED IT ACROSS THE STREET...

STARTED LOADING...

THEN A FRIEND CAME & MOVED US ACROSS TOWN (yes Kory needs a truck now...I get it)

Now it's GO time to start packing, prepping the house to sell, get final drawings in for...wait for it... OUR DREAM HOME-building on the bluff. I'll leave ya hangin' with that. -Jaelynn
