Where Did We Land?

                  IN THE BOONIES YOU SAY?

Some say we have moved to the boonies but I say we have moved to paradise on the outskirts of town.
HOW ARE WE SO BLESSED?
Once we got our trailer we had planned to live on our property as we started the building process, a friend with building experience told us about the county and not being able to legally follow do that. So we quickly contacted a neighbor (who is a good family friend) and asked if we could please use the border of his property for our trailer. His response was, "Well I don't know why you would do that when I have a garage with a full RV hook up for you. " Can you imagine how we felt? Like God had gone before us in His plan and paved the way to something much better than we had planned.
OUR NEW PAD
We couldn't not ask for better neighbors, landlord, and set up. We have a garage for homeschool, a full size fridge, bathroom we call the"out house", we added a washer and dryer, and storage for the few things we kept. IT'S ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!

SETTING UP "CAMP"
I have to admit it feels a little like camping and a lot like vacation. This is where our rigs landed. We have a lot of work still to do like build a gazebo, build some porches and steps, and bring some flower pots from our old backyard oasis.

OVER THE GRAVEL AND THROUGH THE WOODS
The beautiful thing is that our property is a short walk and a convenient drive away. That will be handy once we break ground.
For now we enjoy the wildlife, picking blackberries and huckleberries and THE VIEW.
Wait, we haven't talked about the view!

MT. RAINIER IS MAJESTIC
This will be our view from our property. It's absolutely stunning in person, pictures don't do it justice. It's literally on the bluff with the green valley down below.
Day or night, it's just stunning.
Grandma & Grandpa Hagen lived just west of here on the bluff. In fact when Kory and I were dating we hung out there often. Grandma has told us one of her favorite memories was to sit at her desk with this view and pay the bills saying, "Thank you God for everything you have given us and this home and this view". She jokes it made it easier to pay the bills that way.
EXPLORING AND ENJOYING THE LAND
These kids love being out here and we are grateful everyday that God made this happen for our family. We know this is just the beginning but we pray God can use us to encourage others in this life and to glorify Him in this process.
OUR CONSULTANT HERE TO GUIDE US
Next time let's talk about the plan, the layout, the build. JKI is our saving grace here in the beginning. We hire them as we have questions. It's a great comfort knowing they have built custom homes and are here as we need them for consulting. -Jaelynn
