We Have A Driveway

The moment we have waited for has come.  Time to see what our property would look like with access onto it from our driveway. There is so much thick underbrush that it's hard to get an idea of where things will be. 

Kory has been out there for what seems like days on end with his chainsaw and machete and some help from the kiddos trying to clear.  

Then a VERY generous neighbor shows up with an excavator and in a couple hours here we are. 

What a wonderful feeling to be able to access the property and see where our future driveway will be. It helps make it feel a tad bit more real. 

Fascinating to watch the process and the kids love being a part of this. 

Next up will be marking all the corners to see exactly where the house will sit. 

We are to a point that our communication out here is by walkie talkie. Wherever you go, be sure to take one and hand one to someone at home base.
